The Mundi Westport Group (MWG) has confirmed that it has concluded the acquisition of hosiery company Interbrand Global as of 2023.
This deal represents a strategic opportunity for MWG, a leading supplier of men’s, women’s, and kids small leather goods, belts, wallets, bags, and accessories. This action expands MWG’s product offerings while growing its potential market size via a new category. This opportunity allows Mundi Westport, a trusted partner with major retailers across the US, Canada, and Europe, to leverage its strengths in existing customers and expand into additional customers through Interbrand’s existing business.
MWG is also pleased to announce that starting in Spring 2025, they will become the exclusive US licensee for men’s, women’s and kids socks for Timberland and Timberland PRO, as well as the chief supplier of socks for Timberland’s DTC business worldwide. Caley Rogan, SVP of MWG’s Men’s Divisi on comments, “having been Timberland’s exclusive partner in belts and wallets for almost 12 years combined with Interbrand’s team which was the sock licensee for the Timberland Company for 21 years the combination is a perfect fit.”
